Winners, losers in week 4
59Can the Bills, Lions keep on a roll?
Each NFL season renders surprises based on the outcome of the season before. Entering the fourth week of this NFL campaign, two teams are on a path that have their fans feeling delirious and have raised the eyebrows of football junkies like me.
Both teams completed amazing comeback wins last weekend, but will the joy last for the 3-0 Buffalo Bills and 3-0 Detroit Lions? I remember feeling like Buffalo and Detroit fans feel now when my Denver Broncos started 6-0 just two seasons ago, only to lose eight of their last 10 games to finish 8-8 and miss the playoffs.
Not so fast booking your Super Bowl reservations Bills and Lions fans, but by all means enjoy the fun while it lasts. Can one or both of these teams be 4-0 after this weekend? With both teams playing early games on Sunday, we won't have to wait long to find out.
DETROIT (3-0) at DALLAS (2-1): As goes Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford, so go the Lions. Stafford is healthy so far and playing like it. Cowboys QB Tony Romo needed help to overcome some sloppy football to win on Monday night. These Cats from Motown remain for real. Lions 27, Cowboys 24
BUFFALO (3-0) at CINCINNATI (1-2): Will Buffalo QB Ryan Fitzpatrick be forced to bring his Bills back from dead for a third-straight week? With the Bills, there is still that shade of doubt but I'll say...Bills 35, Bengals 28
CAROLINA (1-2) at CHICAGO (1-2): An intriguing match up and a tough call between two teams on the losing end so far. I have a hunch that despite rookie Cam Newton's stellar start, the Panthers aren't loaded for bear in this one. Bears 31, Panthers 23
TENNESSEE (2-1) at CLEVELAND (2-1): The Browns get a boost in their rushing attack with the return of Peyton Hillis from illness. Can Matt Hasselbeck sling the Titans to a third-straight win? Titans 22, Browns 19
MINNESOTA (0-3) at KANSAS CITY (0-3): Pick your poison here. This game assures one of these teams that it won't go 0-16. It's simple: One team has Adrian Peterson running the football and the other team doesn't. Vikings 30, Chiefs 17
WASHINGTON (2-1) at ST. LOUIS (0-3): Mike Shanahan's squad rebounds well off a tough loss in Dallas on Monday Night Football. Redskins 28, Rams 14
NEW ORLEANS (2-1) at JACKSONVILLE (1-2): Saints' quarterback Drew Brees has his team marching again. Saints 34, Jaguars 20
PITTSBURGH (2-1) at HOUSTON (2-1): Great match up between two explosive offensive teams. Is the Lone Star state big enough to handle all the points these two teams will put up here? Steelers 45, Texans 41
SAN FRANCISCO (2-1) at PHILADELPHIA (1-2): The rocky early season doesn't get any easier for Philly QB Michael Vick, whose injured hand won't keep him from starting against the Niners' stingy defense. Eagles 26, 49ers 21
NY GIANTS (2-1) at ARIZONA (1-2): With brother Peyton sidelined in Indy, Eli Manning -- with a little help from his supporting cast -- is doing his part to uphold the family name. Giants 21, Cardinals 16
ATLANTA (1-2) at SEATTLE (1-2): Matt Ryan looks to smooth the Falcons' troubled flight so far. The Seahawks enjoyed their first taste of victory of the season last week. Flip a coin... Falcons 19, Seahawks 17
MIAMI (0-3) at SAN DIEGO (2-1): Despite their winning record the Bolts haven't struck fear into anyone but their own fans, nearly blowing a sure-win against the Chiefs. The Fish will make a game out of this one too. Chargers 21, Dolphins 20
NEW ENGLAND (2-1) at OAKLAND (2-1): The Pats' collapse in Buffalo proved that Tom Brady is human and the team's defense is suspect. Like the Pats, the Raiders are just a Buffalo wing from being 3-0. In one of the better games of the weekend, I say ... Patriots 34, Raiders 31
DENVER (1-2) at GREEN BAY (3-0): I could be wrong here. I want to be wrong here. Not sure if life depends on me being wrong here but wish I could be. If only QB Aaron Rodgers and the regular Packers could take the day off. Guess not, huh? Packers 30, Broncos 12
NY JETS (2-1) at BALTIMORE (2-1): The Jets' run defense took the week off against the Raiders. You can bet the Ravens were watching and will send running back Ray Rice right over and around the edge of the defense. In a heated and hard-hitting Sunday night contest... Ravens 16, Jets 13
Monday night
INDIANAPOLIS (0-3) at TAMPA BAY (2-1): Do the Colts have what it takes to win even one game without Peyton Manning under center? Buccaneers 24, Colts 13
Last week's picks:10-6
Season: 31-16

Nice, I like your pics.. I will be routing for the Big Blue tomorrow against the Cards. I am also really interested to see if the Patriots are able to bounce back after that loss to Buffalo.
